Design Brief
In the initial stage of the Architectural Process, the team at Archivision NZ begins by creating a comprehensive Design Brief. This crucial step involves an in-depth consultation with you to gather detailed information about your goals, expectations, and the scope of your project. The team will discuss various aspects of your vision, including functional requirements, design aesthetics, preferred materials, and any specific features you wish to incorporate.
The team will also inquire about your budget constraints and timeline expectations to ensure the project aligns with your financial and scheduling needs. Additionally, the team will consider any site-specific factors such as local zoning regulations, environmental considerations, and potential challenges unique to your project.
Through this collaborative process, Archivision NZ will gain a thorough understanding of your vision, enabling them to create a tailored design plan that reflects your desires. Once the Design Brief is established, the team will clarify all your requirements and ideas,
using this information as the foundation upon which your project will be built.
1
Concept Design, Development and Evaluation
The second phase of the Architectural Process involves the Concept stage.
Archivision NZ’s designers will present various solutions, including drawings, sketches, computer renderings, or 3D models, based on the initial project brief.
During this phase, you can provide feedback on what you prefer or dislike. Open communication is crucial to ensure your project aligns with your expectations.
Additionally, this stage will help you gain a clearer understanding
of the project’s overall budget and any potential challenges that
may require additional resources.
2
Development of Construction Documents
In the third stage of the Architectural Design Process, you will finalize your preferred concept design.
The Archivision NZ team will prepare detailed documentation and define technical specifications necessary for tendering and consent applications.
Your finalized documents will be available for
review by your builder or contractors during this
stage.
3
Tendering
The fourth stage focuses on selecting the right builder or contractor to complete the build according to your budget. Archivision NZ can assist in reviewing tenders and providing advice during the selection process.
The team will also support builders by providing additional
information or clarification needed for appropriate tenders.
4
Contract Administration
The fifth stage of the Architectural Design Process focuses on ensuring that the project remains aligned with the architectural design.
Any issues during the build will be addressed to keep
the project on schedule and maintain the highest
quality standards.
